Intensifying its focus on the mobility market, where it anticipates exponential growth in the coming years, Vestel participated in the Solar+Storage NX exhibition held in Istanbul from November 7–9, 2024, showcasing its energy storage systems.

Highlighting the rapid global adoption of energy storage solutions for renewable sources such as solar and wind, Vestel Mobilite stated that it develops and manufactures energy storage systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, as well as for renewable solar/wind power plants and the telecommunications sector.

Accelerating its efforts in the mobility field, Vestel took part in Solar+Storage NX — Turkey’s only trade show dedicated to the solar energy and energy storage sectors — held at Istanbul’s Tüyap Fair and Congress Center between November 7–9, 2024. At its 88-square-meter booth located in Hall 11 / A5, the company introduced visitors to its latest products and technologies designed for energy storage.

Vestel Mobilite emphasized the increasing importance of energy storage solutions for solar and wind power sources around the world. Pointing out that, particularly in Europe, users significantly reduce their energy costs by storing solar energy generated during the day for use at night, the company reiterated its commitment to developing environmentally conscious and highly efficient energy solutions.

Today, Vestel Mobilite designs and manufactures energy storage systems for a wide range of applications — from homes and commercial buildings to renewable energy plants and telecommunications infrastructure. The company underscored that these systems ensure uninterrupted power in cases where intermittent renewable sources like solar and wind fail to generate energy. In response to this need, Vestel develops and manufactures container-sized battery energy storage units with capacities ranging from 3 to 5 MWh.

Vestel Introduces Turkey’s First Domestic Battery Energy Storage System

Vestel Mobilite recently commissioned Turkey’s first domestically developed battery energy storage system. Installed at the SARAR Outlet facility in Bozüyük, Bilecik, the system was designed specifically for commercial and industrial enterprises. It is capable of simultaneously delivering uninterrupted power to four 400kW electric vehicle charging stations (EVCs).

In this project, which represents one of the few examples globally of behind-the-meter EVC integration, the system — developed by Vestel engineers — boasts a capacity of 300kWh and a maximum output of 200kW. Managed remotely via an Energy Management System (EMS), the battery energy storage solution ensures consistent performance across all 400kW EVCs at the facility. The hybrid system can be charged via solar panels, and in cases where solar power is unavailable, it seamlessly switches to grid charging. Thanks to its integrated EVC-Battery-Solar-Grid structure, solar-generated energy stored in the system can support the grid as needed, enabling continuous operation of electric charging stations.

Held as part of the NextGen Mobility Expo & Summit, Solar+Storage NX is organized to support the advancement of solar energy and energy storage technologies. The fair brings together investors and project developers, consumers and suppliers, as well as decision-makers and energy sector professionals, creating opportunities for long-term partnerships and commercial agreements.
