The era of 'charging hubs' in Italy
The high-speed charging hub launched by Electrip Global in the Assago region of Italy, in partnership with Zorlu Energy, is powered by charging devices supplied by Vestel Mobility. As part of its collaboration with Electrip, in which Zorlu Energy is a partner, Vestel Mobility has implemented a next-generation charging hub application in Assago, Italy. The charging hub, now operational in Italy, features 16 400kW EVCs manufactured by Vestel Mobility, optimized to meet the needs of both individual and commercial users.
Thanks to the EV charging station operations and energy efficiency services provided by Electrip, the new hub model is expected to become widespread in Italy and expand to other European countries. Standing out with its up-time
Vestel Mobilite’s ultra-fast charging stations, with an impressive 720kW power capacity, significantly reduce waiting times at public charging points. These stations can charge up to eight vehicles simultaneously, cutting charging time down to as little as 15 minutes. This enables electric vehicles to meet the average weekly urban charging needs in a short period while also minimizing charging durations during long-distance journeys.
In addition to the AC series that Vestel Mobility started manufacturing in 2017, which offers solutions for households and small businesses, there are also compact 60 kW and 120 kW fast type charging stations suitable for urban applications, and the higher-capacity DC series, which offers more powerful outputs of 160kW, 240kW, 320kW, 400kW, and 720kW for ultra-fast charging applications. Notably, these devices stand out in the industry with a minimum exceptional up-time average of 98%—a key metric reflecting the duration a server remains operational and accessible.
